FAB DT supports The Hub by members volunteering to staff the service, and by using our charitable status to enable The Hub to access charitable donations from local businesses and receive free refuse collections by Moray Council.
Led by Buckie Area Forum, The Hub is a warm space which offers a wide range of services to around 25 visitors a day, 6 days a week, including:
- A warm welcome and listening ear for people seeking company
- Information, advice and referral for cost-of-living support with benefits, grants, energy saving, food banks, free mobile data, etc
- Collecting donations of pre-loved school uniform, winter clothing and Halloween costumes and re-issuing these free to Hub users
- Provision of food parcels and vouchers to those in crisis
- Outreach support from numerous agencies
- Information about local job vacancies
- Free advertising space for local community groups to promote their events
- Volunteering opportunities
