Buckie Locality Plan

FAB DT supports the delivery of “A Better Buckie”, the Buckie Locality Plan ….

…. by holding A Better Buckie’s funds, being the lead organisation for some actions in the Plan, and by FAB DT members forming the Community Monitoring Group.

The Community Monitoring Group undertakes consultations with local people and works with public sector and voluntary organisations to identify actions to address concerns or progress ideas for improvements.

FAB DT is particularly involved in supporting actions to:

• address the impact of the cost of living
• establish a community hub
• maintain the attractive appearance of the area
• promote activities of interest to visitors and locals, especially families and young people

This has included working with a consultant to carry out an options appraisal to explore possible sites for a multi-purpose community hub.
